Day 3

Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara

After early breakfast head southwest of Naivasha driving into the Maasai land through the Kedong and Suswa plains before your stopover at the Maasai town of Narok. Continue towards the Maasai Mara arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive.

One of Kenya’s most visited game reserves, the Mara has an extraordinary density of animals including the Big five and an array of plains game. The Mara River cuts through the Mara-Serengeti ecosystem giving life to the two-game reserves before pouring out into Lake Victoria. The instinct-led migration of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle from the Serengeti to the Maasai Mara is the highlight of this safari. The animals have to outrun the predators on the way making it even more magnificent.

The afternoon game drive starts at 16:00 back to your accommodation when the sun sets down behind the horizons with a beautiful silhouette against the dimming African skies.
