Tanzania Highlights

Pick up from your accommodation in Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park. This park with its endless grasslands, huge baobab trees, the perennial Tarangire River, and seasonal swamps is home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania. Animals gather at the river and you should be able to see elephants, giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, dik-diks, waterbucks, warthogs, and reedbucks all year round. Furthermore, the park is also home to buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests which are always closely followed by a range of predators such as lions. Leopards are seen every once in a while, but cheetahs are rarely spotted. After an extensive game drive, you will leave the park in the late afternoon and head to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

This entire day is committed to wildlife viewing inside the Serengeti. The areas to be visited will depend mostly on where the groups are generally found. Wildebeests and zebras are mostly discovered in the short stormy period of October and November moving from the slopes of the north to the primary fields of the south. Furthermore, during the more extended stormy periods of April, May as well as June, they get back to the North. Our guide will know the specific area to spot the herds and where the best views may be. You will stay overnight inside in the park.
