Trip To Murchison Falls National Park

“The World’s Most Powerful WaterFall”  

Murchison Falls National Park is the largest component of the greater Murchison Falls

Conservation Area (MFCA) incorporates the collectively managed 750 SQ kilometer Bugungu and 720 Square Kilometer Karuma Wildlife reserves to its south. The most important feature of Bugungu and Karuma is the Kaniyo Pibidi forest which harbors a chimpanzee community habituated for tourists.

Day 1

Travel to Murchison Falls National Park (4 hrs 50 mins 315 Km)

Your Guide/ Driver will pick you up from the airport. After briefing you about the journey, you set off and drive northwest through the Luwero triangle and travel to Masindi Via Ziwa Rhino Project, unfortunately, the Rhino sanctuary is currently closed to visitors. You will stopover for lunch at Kabalega resort and continue to Murchison Falls National Park. Enter through Kichambanyobo, check-in at Your Lodge, have dinner, and rest.

Day 2

Murchison Falls National Park

Early Rise at the Lodge for breakfast. Your Guide will brief you about the activities of the day and cross the Nile by ferry to the northern bank of the park for the early morning Game drive, your guide will help you spot elephants, lions, buffalos, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeests, waterbuck, Oribi, Bohor reedbuck, hyena, if you are lucky leopard. Take a break for lunch and later go for a boat Safari upstream the Victoria Nile to the base of the falls a few meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron” En-route, Marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over this 17km stretch you may see elephants, waterbucks and Uganda Jobs. At the bottom of the falls, you leave the boat and start your quite heavy hike to the top of the falls (approx 1hr) towards the top, you will see the world’s longest river explode violently through a narrow cleft in the rift valley escarpment to plug into a frothing pool 43m below. Your guide will be waiting for you to bring you back to the lodge.

Day 3

Travel Back to Entebbe (4 hrs 50 mins 315 Km)

Wake up early and have breakfast at the Lodge. Prepare and set off for Entebbe, your journey is about 260 km and should take you approximately 5 hours. Arrival in Entebbe, end of our service.
